Project Overview

Stainless Designs was recently engaged to automate a manual processing plant. The project goal was to eliminate manual handling, reduce product contamination risk, and reduce product losses.

The Solution

Removing the flow plates and replacing them with Valves, the system now operates without operator intervention. All product changeover and Clean in Place (C.I.P) now happens automatically; all flush water is captured and directed to drain, reducing safety concerns around handling hot pipe work filled with cleaning chemicals. The system is now safe, with all products, C.I.P. and flush water captured, and with reduced risk of product contamination and minimised product losses.
